President Obama Will Announce His Plans To Change Immigration Laws This Week

Monday, January 28th, 2013

There is a very good chance there will be an Immigration Amnesty during President Obama’s second term. Immigration has been a very important issue for President Obama since he took office. Finally, this week he will announce his plans on how to get illegal immigrants permanent residency and then citizenship. In my opinion, one of the major parts of Immigration that needs change is in regard to lower skilled illegal immigrants, who take the jobs that U.S. citizens do not want. I have had many employers asking for these workers. I believe President Obama will speak to this issue this week. It will be interesting to see how President Obama’s amnesty plan will address illegal immigrants who have 10 year bars who are not eligible for a waiver, and those with criminal convictions. Of course this would have to pass through Congress but I really believe that the trend in the United States is shifting to making illegal immigrants legal.  Also, he will have to address aliens who are here on temporary visas, such as work visas.
